Pamukkale is a place in Southern Turkey. There is a huge amount of underground water that springs to the surface at be top of a hill and flows down the side. The water, however, is extremely high in calcium, which precipitates out when it comes in contact with the air and forms calcite crystals which eventually turns into travertine marble. The entire mountain is made of travertine! The water is blue because of he mineral content.
There was a spot like this in New Zealand but it was destroyed during a volcanic Explosion over a century ago. Pretty amazing place, you can actually go for a dip in some of the blue pools.
