Spider woman
The lady who lured us into her house to show us how old it was (200yrs plus) only to ambush us with her array of homemade trinkets, which, incidentally she had hidden behind the front door. We were like 2 little flies, caught in her web. We couldn’t escape without buying something. Damn you spider woman!
P.s. we had to lure her from her lair to get this photo.

The Shoeshine Scam
The shoe shine guy “accidentally” drops his brush while walking along the bridge. A kind man picks it up and chases after the shoe shine guy to return it. The shoe shine guy is so grateful he offers the guy a free shoe shine. Of course, the guy accepts. The shoe shine guy shines the guys shoes, all the while chatting to the guy, asking him questions about himself etc etc. The guy feels bad about getting the shoe shine for free and gives the shoe shine guy a few Turkish Lira – bingo! The shoe shine guy wins! Haha..it’s a classic scam (and well documented in the Lonely Planet guidebook and online travel forums). We saw it happen three times in ten minutes – so funny we laughed our arses off!
P.s the guy in the photo had suede shoes! Haha…..
